Fellow Mariners fans, what a rollercoaster of a game we just witnessed! The Seattle Mariners took on the Houston Astros and emerged victorious with a nail-biting 7-6 win in 11 innings. Let's dive into the action-packed highlights!
Strong Early Performance by the Mariners 
The game kicked off with tight defense from both sides in the first inning as neither team managed to put up any runs. However, our very own Jorge Polanco was the first to put us on the board in the second inning, scoring from a groundout by Ben Williamson. It was heartening to see this early lead, with momentum building in the bottom of the third, thanks to a critical double by Dominic Canzone that brought both Polanco and Luke Raley home.
Astros Fight Back 
The Astros did not make it easy on us, tying the game by the end of the sixth inning with a series of well-placed hits and a couple of fielding errors. Their persistence paid off as they managed to sneak ahead with a run in the top of the 10th inning. But did that faze our Mariners? Absolutely not!
Mariners Seal the Deal in Style 
In the bottom of the 10th, Randy Arozarena kept us in the game by capitalizing on a wild pitch, allowing us to level the score. As we moved into the 11th inning, we stood firm defensively, with Bazardo striking out two key batters. The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th when Cole Young played hero, delivering a clutch single to right field, allowing Canzone to score and clinch the win for us.
