A Slow Start for the Astros
The game started off with a bit of a sluggish pace for our boys in orange. In the first inning, Jeremy Peña struck out swinging, and even though Isaac Paredes patiently drew a walk, our efforts fell short as Christian Walker only managed to advance him to second with a single. The inning concluded with Victor Caratini grounding out, leaving us scoreless.
Rangers Take the Lead
The second inning wasn’t any kinder as the Rangers took an early lead, scoring two runs after Jonah Heim brought home Josh Jung and Evan Carter. Despite a tough error from Peña, our defense managed to prevent further damage with a steadfast resolve. Still, we looked up at a 2-0 deficit by the end of the inning.
7th Inning Magic
Things were looking bleak until the seventh inning, where our Astros, fueled by their grit and determination, turned the game around in spectacular fashion! It all started with Jake Meyers singling to left. Cam Smith came through with a crucial double, bringing Meyers home. It was all orchestrated perfectly when Paredes drove in two runs with a sharp single to right, bringing the score to 3-2 in our favor!
The momentum carried over as Walker then unleashed a monster three-run homer, making it a 410-foot shot that certainly uplifted the energy of the game! The Astros took a commanding lead of 6-2, an inning we'll surely remember for quite a while.

Shutting Down the Rangers
With this newfound lead, it was time to seal the deal. Bryan Abreu and Josh Hader came in to pitch and did what they do best—shut down the Rangers in their tracks. The only blip was a solo homer by Jung in the ninth. However, it wasn’t nearly enough, and the game concluded 6-3 in favor of the Astros. What a game, folks! Our Astros showed heart and resilience to pull off a fantastic comeback win against the Rangers. Let’s bask in this victory and look forward to more incredible moments on the diamond! Go Astros!
