The game started with a lot of promise as Maikel Garcia reached first on an error, but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize. We managed to hold the Rangers in the bottom of the first inning, with strong defensive plays keeping the score 0-0.Pitcher's Duel
The initial innings were a demonstration of tenacious pitching from both sides, as neither team was able to put any runs on the board in the second inning. Our boys put up a solid defense and a superb job by our pitchers ensuring the Rangers couldn't pull ahead early on.Rangers Pull Ahead
The Rangers broke the deadlock in the bottom of the third when Brandon Nimmo hit a two-run homer, bringing Danny Jansen home. This put the Rangers up 2-0. Despite a few hits here and there, we couldn't immediately answer back.A Royal Response
Finally, in the top of the seventh inning, our veteran Salvador Perez launched a magnificent homer into center field (416 feet), bringing the Royals back within one run!Down to the Wire
The tension was palpable in the last innings. The Rangers managed to tack on another run in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a single by Jake Burger, putting them ahead 3-1. But our Royals didn't give up!The top of the ninth saw Tyler Tolbert hit a ground-rule double, setting the stage for a rally. Brandon Drury did his part by singling Tolbert in, narrowing the gap to 3-2. Unfortunately, despite our valiant efforts, we couldn't push the game into extra innings this time around.
