First Inning Fireworks
The Los Angeles Angels came out swinging, literally, in the very first inning.
Our boy, Adam Frazier got things started with a solid double to center. Afterward, while Christian Moore grounded out, Frazier smartly moved to third, setting the stage for Jeimer Candelario who crushed a double to right, bringing Frazier home thanks to an error by the Guardians' right fielder. 
But wait, there’s more! Travis d'Arnaud struck out swinging, but not before the Guardians added to their blunder column, allowing Candelario to score with a throwing error by the catcher. End of the 1st inning? It was Angels 2, Guardians 0. 
The Guardians' Rally
Despite our early lead, the Guardians weren't going down without a fight. Jordan's talented David Fry walked, and shortly afterward, Kyle Manzardo singled to right. Although Rhys Hoskins was taken down swinging, Daniel Schneemann managed to push Fry over the plate, bringing the score to 2-1. Things turned sour when Gabriel Arias hit a double, leveling the game at 2-2 by allowing Schneemann to score. By the time the second inning ended, the Guardians were back on even ground.
Ups and Downs Through the Late Innings
The Angels fought back, but the Guardians knocked one out of the park during the bottom of the fifth with the aid of Halpin's double, pulling the Guardians ahead.
Despite our efforts, they gained a solid lead of 5-2 by the time the 6th inning was over. A brief glimmer of hope came at the top of the 7th when Adan Frazier came through again, bringing home Donovan Walton and closing the gap to 5-3. However, luck just wasn’t in our bullpen’s favor today. 
Overall Thoughts
Even though we didn’t clinch the victory today, there were some fantastic moments for the Angels. We saw promise and determination, particularly ignited by Adam Frazier and Jeimer Candelario. It's not the outcome we wanted, but it's a long season and I’m sure our Angels will come back fighting stronger in the next game.
