A Solid Start in Cleveland
The Los Angeles Angels kicked off their night in Cleveland with a promising start. The top of the 1st inning saw us go down quickly, but our boys settled into the game quite nicely. It was Jorge Soler who opened the scoring in the top of the 2nd, scoring off a hit by Jo Adell to give the Angels a 1-0 lead!Showing Persistence
As the innings progressed, our Angels showcased their resilience. While the Guardians threatened, particularly with Carlos Santana and Kyle Manzardo getting on bases, our defense remained steadfast. The top of the 7th brought excitement when Scott Kingery doubled and later scored after a relieving pitcher change! Schanuel and Soler added to the tally, helping us build a solid 3-0 lead going into the 8th – totally clutch!
Sealing the Deal in the 9th
While the Guardians did manage to score a solitary run at the bottom of the 9th, our Angels delivered the final blow in the top half.
Jorge Soler once again stole the show with a monster home run to left field, further securing our advantage at 4-1. Despite some tense moments in the bottom of the inning where Santana tried to rally his crew, our closer kept his cool, sealing the victory. Kudos to our bullpen for their role in this well-deserved win!Way to go Angels!
