The game kicked off with a stellar solo home run by Shea Langeliers in the first inning, setting the tone for a high-energy performance.
Over the course of the game, our lineup demonstrated consistent power at the plate. In the second inning, Jacob Wilson singled to drive in Gio Urshela, extending our lead. Lawrence Butler also came through with a sacrifice fly adding another run, and later delighted us with a thrilling triple in the fifth that brought Zack Gelof home. One of the most spectacular moments happened in the fifth inning with Gio Urshela hitting a double, followed by an Andujar score on a wild pitch. That inning was just magical as errors by the Angels further boosted our lead, finishing with astonishing base running and pressure. Fielding and heads-up base running were critical; case in point when JJ Bleday advanced on errors, continuing our momentum.
Willie MacIver's introduction in the sixth inning was something to remember. He homered to left-center, demonstrating the depth we have in our lineup.
