Close Battle in Seattle
What a nail-biter!
Mariners Struck First
It was a battle of the defenses with neither team managing to score in the first three innings. But the Mariners managed to break through in the fourth inning with Jorge Polanco doubling to bring home Cal Raleigh. Our bullpen did a solid job keeping the Mariners from blowing it wide open, which was crucial in keeping us within striking distance.Angels Rally Back
In the seventh inning, our guys showed real grit.
Mariners Seal the Deal
In the bottom of the seventh, Mitch Garver hit a solo home run that ended up being the game-winner for the Mariners. The Angels did everything they could in the final innings but couldn’t get any more runs across, even with changes like putting Matthew Lugo in right field to shake things up.Overall, it was a tough 2-1 loss for us, but it mirrored the resilience and fight of our team. Keep your heads up, Angels fans! We're still in this for the long haul.
