A Promising Start for Mike Trout
What a way to begin the game! Right in the top of the 1st inning, our superstar Mike Trout made his presence felt with a colossal home run to center field, giving us an early lead.
It's moments like these that remind us why we love being Angels fans. The crack of the bat, the ball sailing over the fence... pure magic! Unfortunately, the offense cooled off a bit, and that would be the only highlight for us until much later in the game.A Mid-Inning Struggle
Our bats seemed to go quiet, and the Cardinals took the opportunity to stage a comeback. After an impressive homer by Ivan Herrera in the 4th, they tied up the game. The 5th inning was all about missed opportunities; despite a beautiful double by Nolan Schanuel, we couldn't manage to send him home. Our defense managed to keep them off the scoreboard for the rest of the inning, maintaining the tie.The Back-and-Forth Battle
The 6th inning saw the Cardinals edge ahead after another homer by Herrera brought in two more runs. But hold your breath, Angels fans! The 7th inning was all about a major comeback — Logan O'Hoppe delivered an exhilarating grand slam that put us back in the lead 5-3!

Unfortunately, the bottom of the 8th inning was a nightmare we weren't prepared for. The Cardinals exploded with a series of hits that wiped out our lead, ending with a grand slam by Herrera to stretch their advantage to 12-5. Despite our team's valiant effort, the 9th inning was a quick affair for Jo Adell, Nicky Lopez, and Logan O'Hoppe as they were unable to clinch any comeback magic.Yes, it ended with a tough loss at 12-5, but keep your heads up, Angels fans. There were moments of brilliance, and we'll come back stronger!
