Dodgers Start Off Strong

Hey Dodgers fans! What a game! 🎉 We sure struck first blood in the second inning when Andy Pages hit a lovely double to center, setting himself up to score off an infield single by Tommy Edman. It was the kind of slick play we've come to expect and love from this team. With Hyeseong Kim going down swinging, the score was left at 1-0. But don't worry, we were just getting started!

Building the Lead

The bats came alive again in the third inning! Shohei Ohtani and Will Smith both singled, setting the stage for Freddie Freeman to add another hit. Teoscar Hernández drew a walk with the bases loaded, scoring Ohtani. And then, Pages did it again with a sacrifice fly to bring Smith home. This placed us comfortably ahead 3-0. Even though Freeman got a bit adventurous and was caught stealing home, our defense was firm.

Red Sox Fight Back

Our gritty defense faced a small hiccup in the bottom of the third, as Connor Wong doubled, bringing in Jarren Duran after his single. Then, Alex Bregman followed with a double of his own to score Duran. The Red Sox got two on the board, and the inning ended 3-2.

Shutting Them Down with Style

The mid-innings were a battle of the pitchers, with Alex Vesia and newcomer Nick Casparius limiting Boston's chances. Vesia came in with a commanding presence in the 8th, and what an electric arm that guy has! He struck out Duran and Anthony to silence the crowd. 🎯

Hernández Delivers the Cherry on Top

The sweet moment of the game came in the 8th inning when Teoscar Hernández sent a thunderous homer over center field, driving in Freeman and changing that 3-run lead to an unassailable 5-2. 🚀 It definitely stirred up the dugout’s energy and felt like the door shutting on Boston’s chances.

Final Game Stunner

No late-game drama here, folks. Despite Boston's late attempts, our pitchers did the job splendidly. Casparius, bringing in those closing moves, left a runner stranded after Story’s double, ensuring we walked away with a 5-2 win. Once again, a big salute to our pitching staff for stellar form this evening!

Another glorious win for the Dodgers! It’s always a joy when pitching, hitting, and defense knit together like this! 💙 See y'all next game!
