Dodgers Start Strong But Fall Short
The Los Angeles Dodgers took an early lead against the Colorado Rockies, but unfortunately, the game ended in disappointment with a 4-3 loss. The day started positively with Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts both singling in the top of the first inning. However, the inning ended without runs, as Teoscar Hernandez, Freddie Freeman, and Andy Pages couldn't push any runs home.Dodgers Catch Momentum in the 2nd
Things looked brighter in the second inning when Alex Call and Miguel Rojas both singled. A wild pitch allowed both runners to advance. Dalton Rushing came through with a sacrifice fly, scoring Call, with Rojas advancing to third. Ohtani continued his stellar play with another single, scoring Rojas. Dodgers were now in control with a 2-0 lead.
Rockies Fight Back
While Freddie Freeman added to the scoreboard with a double in the 3rd inning, the Rockies fought back. In the bottom of the third, Ryan Ritter came clutch for the Rockies with a single that scored two, tying the game. By the seventh inning, the game was tied 3-3 after Ezequiel Tovar homered for the Rockies.Late Drama in the 9th
Despite some solid innings from the bullpen, including innings where Freddie Freeman and Alex Freeland gave fans hope with timely hits, the bottom of the ninth brought the game to its conclusion. Tovar started the Rockies' walk-off sequence with a crucial double, and Warming Bernabel ended our hopes with a game-winning single. It's a tough loss, but we'll be back stronger!
