An Exciting Battle at Coors Field
As a Colorado Rockies fan, it's always an adventure watching our team fight it out on the diamond, especially against a formidable opponent like the Los Angeles Dodgers. This game was no exception. While the Rockies put up a valiant effort, rallying back to close the gap in the final innings, the Dodgers ultimately claimed the win with a score of 7-5.Early Struggles and Mid-Game Home Runs
The game started off with a slow burn, with both teams scoreless through the first inning. The momentum, however, quickly shifted in the top of the second inning when Dalton Rushing blasted a homerun for the Dodgers. Our Rockies answered back in the bottom of the second as Ryan Ritter delivered a crucial single to center, bringing home Mickey Moniak and tying the game 1-1! But the Dodgers responded again in the 4th with James Tibbs III delivering a two-run bomb, putting them ahead 3-1.Fighting Spirit and the Unfortunate End
Not to be outdone, Mickey Moniak ignited our spirits by crushing a homer to right in the 6th inning, followed by Kyle Karros with his own blast to left center, tying the game at 3-3! But the Dodgers weren't finished. Elijah Hainline's two-run homer in the 8th reclaimed their lead, adding another run in the 9th via Joseph Vetrano's solo homer. The Rockies rallied in the bottom of the 9th, fueled by patience at the plate and timely hits, but ultimately came up just short. It's tough to swallow a loss, especially with a rally like that, but proud of the Rockies for never giving up and battling to the very end!
