Tough Loss for the Phillies
Well, Phillies fans, it was a tough evening at Citizens Bank Park as we fell to the Dodgers 5-3. Despite a strong start, we couldn't quite hold on. The bats started out hot, but the offense couldn't keep pace with the Dodgers in the later innings.
Early Lead Thanks to Realmuto
In the bottom of the 2nd inning, after Alec Bohm drew a walk and Brandon Marsh singled, J.T. Realmuto hit a booming triple to center field, bringing in two runs and providing the spark we needed! Harrison Bader then added another run with a sacrifice fly, putting the Phillies up 3-0.

Dodgers' Comeback Spoils the Game
The Dodgers didn't make it easy for us. In the 6th inning, Enrique Hernández hit a clutch double that scored two runs, cutting our lead to 3-2. The real dagger came in the 7th inning when Teoscar Hernandez hit a three-run homer to give the Dodgers a 5-3 lead. Our bullpen tried to stifle their rally, but those five runs sealed the deal for LA.
Missed Opportunities
We had our chances. In the bottom of the 8th, with the bases loaded, Edmundo Sosa—pinch-hitting for Marsh—unfortunately flied out to center, ending our threat. It felt like we were just one hit away from turning the tides back in our favor.
Looking Ahead
Despite the defeat, there’s no doubt our guys fought hard. We'll hope for a rebound in the next game, and as always, we’ll be cheering louder than ever in support of our Phillies! Remember to keep the faith; there's still plenty of baseball left to play!

Let's go, Phillies!
