When the game entered the seventh inning, the scoreboard was still locked at 0-0. However, the Dodgers came out swinging! Teoscar Hernández got things going with a single, followed by a clutch double from Freddie Freeman. With Enrique Hernández adding an RBI with his fielder's choice and Smith delivering a smashing two-run single, the excitement was palpable. And, of course, Shohei Ohtani added another RBI to extend our lead. The boys took a commanding 4-0 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh!
Dodgers' Pitching Holds On
Though the Phillies threatened our lead with a late rally, cutting it down to 4-3 in the ninth, our bullpen rose to the challenge. Blake Treinen and Alex Vesia held down the fort, with Sasaki expertly sealing the deal against Trea Turner to end the game. It was a combined team effort that saw our Dodgers triumphantly walking off the field.
