Tough Night for Our Marlins in Baltimore

Hey fellow Marlins fans! 🌊 Well, the Orioles gave us quite the challenge tonight, wrapping up the game with a 5-2 win over our boys. Although things didn’t go our way, there were still some silver linings worth noting!

Marlins Fight Hard Despite Early Setbacks

The game kicked off with Xavier Edwards popping out and Jesus Sánchez grounding out, but Otto Lopez managed to inject some life with a single to right. Unfortunately, we couldn’t capitalize further as Agustin Ramirez flied out to center. From the bottom of the 1st, the Orioles surged forward, scoring twice.

Orioles Extend Lead as Marlins Struggle Offensively

Despite a solid effort, we struggled to get runs on the board through the middle innings. The Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn and Ramon Laureano kept adding to their lead, making it difficult for our pitching staff to hold them back. Kyle Stowers did get a nice walk in the 4th and a single in the 7th, which showed some promise.

Late Rally By Lopez Sparks Hope

Fast forward to the top of the 9th; we finally saw the spark we were waiting for! 💥 Jesus Sánchez got on base with an infield single, setting up Otto Lopez who then delivered a smashing homer to left center, bringing the score to 5-2. What a hit by Lopez to breathe some fire into the game! Although the rally fell short in the end, it was definitely the highlight of our night.

We'll take these lessons forward and come back better. Let’s keep our spirits high and support our team through it all! Go Marlins! 🐬
