Disappointing Day at Minute Maid Park
Hey Astros fans!Early Struggles and Comeback Efforts
The game started with our beloved Jose Altuve making a solid start, but unfortunately, his efforts didn't translate into runs early on. Our bats were quiet in the first inning, and the Marlins took advantage by scoring three quick runs off singles and a groundout. We tried to claw our way back, with Joey Loperfido contributing twice, first by reaching on an infield single and then driving Yordan Alvarez across the plate. Kudos to Carlos Perez for his two RBIs in the 6th inning, putting us ahead briefly 4-3. Who doesn't love a good turnaround!
Heartbreak in the 7th
But then came the seventh inning, and things took a turn for the worse. A grand slam by Miami's Dillon Lewis deflated the growing energy among Astros fans. That homer was a game-changer and hit like a punch in the gut, pushing the Marlins ahead 7-4.Despite promising efforts from Taylor Trammell and Cavan Biggio in later innings, we just couldn’t close the gap. We had our chances, but key plays and swings didn’t go our way.
Looking Forward
Despite today's setback, let’s keep our heads high, Houston! Thanks to every fan who showed up today, and let’s keep the energy positive as we continue to back our boys! #HoustonStrong
