Tough Loss Against the Mets
Fellow Marlins fans, our boys put up a valiant fight but ultimately fell to the Mets 10-5 at Citi Field. It was a promising start for us in the 1st inning, with Xavier Edwards setting the tone early with a single and Griffin Conine and Otto Lopez drawing key walks to load the bases. Liam Hicks then stepped up and capitalized with a crucial single, allowing both Edwards and Conine to score, giving us a 2-0 lead.
Mets Battle Back
The bottom of the 1st saw Francisco Lindor hit a solo homer off of us, narrowing our lead to 2-1.

Our Comeback Attempt
In the top of the 6th, Derek Hill injected new life into our momentum with a two-run homer, bringing our score up to 5. But alas, the Mets responded with a 3-run inning to widen their lead, capped by that man Alonso once again with a key double.
Closing the Game
The Mets added one more in the 7th to seal the deal. Despite our tenacity, the Mets pitching clamped down too effectively late in the game, preventing any further rallies. Certainly, no shortage of effort from our Marlins, but sometimes, the baseball gods just don't favor us. Let's regroup and look forward to our next match—come on, Fish!

As always, proud of our team's fight and grit. Chin up, and let's keep supporting our Marlins!
