A Tense Victory
What a thrilling finish for our beloved St. Louis Cardinals tonight!Game Highlights
The game started slowly for both teams in the first inning with no scores ticked up on the board. The Marlins took the lead first, in the second inning with a single from Bastidas driving in Alderman. Unfortunately for us, Alderman extended their lead with a homer in the 4th inning, making it a 2-0 game. But there was no need to panic! Our pitcher lineup settled things down nicely, keeping the Marlins from scoring for the rest of the game.Cardinals' Turnaround
Our Cardinals made the comeback magic happen in the 7th inning. A key double from Ramon Mendoza ignited the flames as Yohel Pozo followed with a single to bring him home. Not stopping there, a clutch sacrifice fly by Jeremy Rivas drove in Pozo, tying the game 2-2. It was all up to the 9th inning, when Colton Ledbetter came off the bench and delivered a single, driving in Michael Antico, who had previously reached second on a wild pitch. That secured our thrilling 3-2 walk-off win!Wrap-Up and Cheers!
Overall, it was a superb team effort where every player contributed, from our pitchers keeping the Marlins at bay to the timely hits that sealed the victory. It's always a good game when the Cardinals dig deep and pull through with a win! Let's keep this momentum going, folks! Go Cardinals!Scoreboard for Marlins @ Cardinals (March 2nd, 2026)
