Brewers Bats Come Alive in Big Inning
What an electrifying game for our beloved Milwaukee Brewers! After a tense start, with the White Sox hitting two homers in the first inning to take an early lead, our Brewers showed grit and determination to storm back to a commanding 7-2 victory.
The game began with a power statement from Isaac Collins, who smacked a solo homer to left field in the very first inning. However, the White Sox replied fiercely with back-to-back homers from Andrew Benintendi and Luis Robert Jr., leaving us trailing 2-1 at the close of the first. But we weren't there at the end! The early solo shot from Collins set the stage for an epic comeback.
The Decisive 6th Inning
The middle innings saw some intense pitching duels until our boys broke open the game in the top of the 6th inning. An infield single by Joey Ortiz, a walk to Isaac Collins, and a powerful single from William Contreras tied the game at 2-2. Then, with bases loaded, the heat was on. Sal Frelick earned an RBI the hard way by taking a hit-by-pitch, pushing in the go-ahead run. Shortly after, Caleb Durbin delivered the clutch single to bring in two more!
Closing the Deal
Our bullpen was rock solid today. The White Sox couldn’t make a dent past the 1st inning. By the 8th inning, a bunt single and a bit of aggressive base running added two additional insurance runs for Milwaukee, making it 7-2.
It was a team effort fueled by timely hitting and resilient pitching. Our Brew Crew looked strong, proved they could bounce back from adversity, and sealed another exhilarating win for Milwaukee! On to the next!
