Yankees' Early Dominance

The Yankees made sure to assert themselves right from the get-go, with Austin Wells launching a solo home run to right-center field in the bottom of the first inning. ⚾💥 That gave us an early lead and set the tone. Although the top of our lineup struggled somewhat, the opening shot from Wells certainly got Yankee Stadium rocking. The Brewers couldn't get anything going in their first couple of innings, as our pitchers kept them on their toes. The chants of “Let’s go Yankees!” were heard loud and clear as we closed out the first with a 1-0 lead.

Volpe Adds to the Lead

In the second inning, our very own Anthony Volpe added another run to the tally with a stunning solo home run to right center, stretching our lead to 2-0. 😎👏 This young man has been an absolute gem this season, providing the kind of spark and excitement we crave in the Bronx. Despite a few innings of back-and-forth defensive plays, the Brewers managed to cut into the lead with a homer from Vinny Capra in the top of the third, but our boys hung tough, keeping them at bay with a series of strikeouts and sharp defensive plays.

Sealing the Victory

The seventh inning turned out to be the decisive moment, with two key plays extending our lead and eventually clinching the win for the Yankees. First, Aaron Judge showed his prowess once again, doubling to left and bringing Ben Rice home. A sacrifice fly by Cody Bellinger then made sure that Oswaldo Cabrera crossed the plate, effectively securing the win with a 4-1 lead. The Brewers managed one more run in the top of the ninth, but it wasn’t enough against our bullpen. 😤⚾

Final score: Yankees 4, Brewers 2. A shoutout to our pitching staff for keeping cool under pressure and helping wrap this one up. Go Yankees! 🎉🗽
