A Tough Start in the Bronx
Well, Brewers fans, we faced a tough challenge today as our boys took on the New York Yankees in the Bronx. The game started on a sour note with Austin Wells launching a homer in the bottom of the 1st, quickly putting the Yankees up 1-0. Our lineup struggled to gain any early momentum with Jackson Chourio, Christian Yelich, and William Contreras all falling quickly in the first inning.Capra's Crack and a Spark of Hope
The glimmer of hope came in the 3rd inning when Vinny Capra smashed a homer to left, cutting the Yankee's lead to 2-1. It was exactly the kind of spark we needed! Brice Turang and Sal Frelick also showed fight with key singles throughout the game, but unfortunately, our offense couldn’t capitalize on these opportunities.Late-Inning Drama
The Yankees managed to extend their lead in the bottom of the 7th inning thanks to an RBI double by Aaron Judge and a sac fly from Cody Bellinger, bringing the score to a daunting 4-1. In the top of the 9th, with our Brewer spirits roaring, Isaac Collins doubled to center, and Jake Bauers drew a walk bringing life into our veins. Brice Turang's sac fly scored Joey Ortiz to make it 4-2, but the rally stopped short when Chourio and Yelich struck out swinging.Even though the score came out 4-2 in favor of the Yankees, there’s no denying the fight our Brewers put up. Keep your heads up, fellow fans. It's all about playing with heart and coming back stronger next game!
