Brewers Take Early Lead
The game began on an optimistic note as Manny Machado got on base with a single, later scoring after a Brewers' balk. However, the Brewers responded swiftly in the top of the second inning, taking a 3-1 lead thanks to a couple of well-placed singles from their lineup.Iglesias Starts the Comeback
It wasn't until Jose Iglesias hit a powerful homer in the 5th inning that our spirits lifted! His 409-foot blast to left-center field cut the deficit to one, making it 2-3. This turnaround sparked some much-needed momentum.Seventh-Inning Drama
Luis Arraez brought his A-game, singling to right in the seventh inning to bring in Jose Iglesias and tie the game at 3-3. The tension in the ballpark was palpable as both teams fought tooth and nail to take the lead.Extra-Inning Heroics!
After the Brewers pulled ahead 4-3 in the 10th, it looked like a tough climb ahead for us. However, resilience is in our DNA! Gavin Sheets grounded into a fielder's choice, scoring Luis Arraez to tie it up once more. In the 11th, with the pressure mounting, a sacrifice bunt from Jose Iglesias set the stage for Freddy Fermin to deliver the walk-off single, bringing in Bryce Johnson and securing our sweet victory!
Padres Show Their Fighting Spirit
This was an incredible team effort, with every player contributing to this hard-fought win. From Jake Cronenworth's patience at the plate earning a crucial walk, to Fernando Tatis Jr.'s sound defensive plays, it was truly a collaboration of skills and teamwork.
