Starting Pitchers Dominate

What a pitching duel we witnessed as the Seattle Mariners edged out the Milwaukee Brewers in a nail-biting 1-0 victory! 🤩 Both teams seemed to have left their bats in the locker room at the start, as both pitchers delivered a spectacular display of strikeouts. From the first pitch, Milwaukee's hitters met the wrath of our pitching prowess, with Brice Turang, William Contreras, and Christian Yelich striking out to begin the first, demonstrating the strong hold our starters had on the game. Meanwhile, our boys J.P. Crawford, Julio Rodriguez, and Cal Raleigh also struggled against the Brewers’ pitching, culminating in a stalemate through the early innings.

Raleigh Breaks Through

After enduring half a game of frustration, with one marvelous double by Randy Arozarena in the 2nd inning and solid defense, it was our guy, Cal Raleigh, who finally broke the deadlock. With the game hanging in the balance, Raleigh sent the ball sailing over right field for a majestic 391-foot home run in the bottom of the 6th inning, giving us the crucial 1-0 lead. 🎉 His immense contribution wasn’t just in sending the crowd into a frenzy, but it proved to be the game-winning run.

Locking Down the Win

Our pitching staff remained flawless to secure the narrow lead. The bullpen brilliance was on full display, with Matt Brash stepping in for Logan Gilbert at a critical moment to put out a developing fire in the top of the 7th by skillfully handling traffic on the base paths. As the game moved to the nail-biting top of the 9th, Andrés Muñoz came in to close it out. Despite a bit of a hiccup with two walks, his skill further shined through with key strikeouts and a well-executed fielder's choice that wrapped up the game to secure our win!

Cheers to the Mariners for a hard-fought, gritty victory! 🏆 Let's keep the momentum building and take this to the next set of games! Go, Mariners! 🌊⚾
