Cardinals Take a Close Victory Over Brewers
Wow, what a nail-biter of a game between our beloved St. Louis Cardinals and the Milwaukee Brewers!
Strong Start by the Cardinals
After three scoreless innings, the Cardinals finally put themselves on the board in the 4th inning thanks to a sacrifice fly by Nolan Gorman, which brought Brendan Donovan home. It was a crucial play that seemed to give the team the momentum they needed. In the 5th inning, Masyn Winn scored thanks to the speed and intelligence of Lars Nootbaar, extending our lead to 2-0.

Brewers' Efforts and Nail-Biting Finish
The Brewers fought back in the 6th inning with hits from Christian Yelich and Jackson Chourio, narrowing our lead to 3-1. A tense moment came in the 7th inning when Frelick scored another run for the Brewers, tightening the gap to 3-2. Our bullpen, featuring Ryan Helsley in the 9th inning, kept the Brewers from clawing their way back into the game. The double play executed by our infield left no room for error and sealed the win for us.
