Game Recap: Royals Edge Out Twins in Close Contest
Despite a valiant effort, our Minnesota Twins fell short against the Kansas City Royals in a tight 3-2 finish. The game saw some exciting moments and strong performances from our lineup.France Takes Flight
Early in the game, Ty France electrified Twins fans with a massive homer to left center, tying the score at 1-1 in the top of the 2nd inning.Twins Take the Lead
In the 6th inning, Ryan Jeffers delivered when it mattered, singling to center and bringing Trevor Larnach home, putting us ahead 2-1. At this point, it seemed like momentum was shifting our way!Royals Rally Late
Unfortunately, the Royals had their own comeback plans. In the bottom of the 7th, Jonathan India and a sacrifice fly by Bobby Witt Jr. added two more runs to their tally. Our bullpen put in a good fight, with Coulombe and Varland trying to keep things close, but the Royals managed to hang on to their one-run lead.Nail-Biting Finale
The Twins had a chance to rally in the 9th inning. With Mickey Gasper and DaShawn Keirsey Jr. on the bases after a single and a hit by pitch, Twins faithful held their breath for a comeback. But the Royals' closer, Estévez, managed to shut the door by getting Matt Wallner to strike out swinging and Willi Castro to ground out, sealing the game.Here's hoping for a bounce-back victory in our next match-up!
