Tough Game for the Astros
Well, Astros fans, it wasn't the night we were hoping for. The Houston Astros fell to the New York Mets with a final score of 6-2.A Rocky Start and Struggles in the Middle Innings
The game started with both teams holding each other scoreless in the first inning, but in the second inning, the Mets took the lead with a sacrifice fly. Robert Jr. set the stage with a double and eventually scored, putting the Mets on the board. Our guys did their best to respond but couldn't quite get the momentum we needed. By the end of the 4th inning, the Mets had extended their lead to 3-0.The top of the 5th was particularly tough. Our pitching struggled to contain the Mets, allowing them to score three more runs. Facing a 6-0 deficit was never going to be easy, but we know our Astros fight until the end!
A Glimmer of Hope
The bottom of the 5th inning finally gave us something to cheer about. After a series of missed opportunities, Yordan Alvarez delivered with a crucial single that allowed Shay Whitcomb to score, bringing the score to 6-1.Final Innings and Looking Forward
Though we didn't manage to close the gap further, our guys kept fighting throughout the innings. Nick Allen and Brice Matthews showed promise, each with some excellent hits and hustle on the bases. They never quit, even when things looked grim.It's games like these that test our resilience, but as Astros fans, we stand by our team through thick and thin!
