The game kicked off with the Mets taking an early lead in the top of the 1st inning. Juan Soto got things rolling with a single and was swiftly brought home by a double from the powerhouse Pete Alonso. What a way to fire up the engines!

The Mets were quiet for a few innings, but things heated up in the top of the 8th. With Luis Torrens on third and Francisco Lindor on second, Pete Alonso smashed a mammoth three-run homer to level the score at 4-4, showing us why he's known as the Polar Bear!

After a tense 9th inning where neither team managed to score, we proceeded to extra innings. Our bullpen held strong, and it was in the 11th inning when we restored that famous Mets spirit. A combination of smart plays saw us pushing ahead once more. Jesse Winker drew a crucial walk with the bases loaded, allowing Soto to score and give us the lead. Another insurance run followed due to an error by the Marlins' shortstop on a play involving Mark Vientos. Securing the Win in Style 
Heading into the bottom of the 11th inning, the Marlins didn’t make it easy. They clawed back one run, but the combined effort of our bullpen and sharp fielding ensured they couldn’t go any further. Special mention to Elieser Brazobán, who came into a pressure-filled scenario and clinched the final outs. In a testament to teamwork and perseverance, our New York Mets triumphed 6-5.
