A Battle from Start to Finish, But Not Our Day
Fellow Cardinals fans, what a rollercoaster of a game we just witnessed! Our Cardinals went toe-to-toe with the Mets but ultimately fell short in a nail-biting 3-2 loss. Amidst the tension of a scoreless start, Joshua Baez brought us to our feet with a splendid solo homer in the bottom of the second inning, sending the ball soaring 388 feetMets' Rally and a Heartbreaking Finish
As they say, it’s never over until it’s over. The Mets chipped away in the later innings, leveling the score in the 7th with a fielder’s choice run and then pulling ahead 3-2 in the 8th. Our guys fought bravely, and Padilla's vital single in the 9th gave us a glimmer of hope with runners on the corners. Alas, Ledbetter went down swinging, and the Mets snagged the victory. A tough way to go down, but the fight and spirit our team showed was something to be proud of.Closing Thoughts
Sometimes the baseball gods don't smile in our favor. Today was a day marked by remarkable, passionate play from our Cardinals, even though it was just short of what we wished for.
