Nationals' Early Lead
What a thrilling game, Nats fans! The Washington Nationals emerged victorious in a nail-biting match against the New York Mets, clinching the win with a final score of 5-4.
This game had us on the edge of our seats, especially after an exciting start where we saw Jose Tena bring in Dylan Crews with a swift single in the 2nd inning, putting us on the scoreboard first. 
Defensive Marvel
Our defense shone brightly in the 4th inning with an incredible triple play when Jesse Winker lined into the perfect defensive setup. Starting from first, the ball zipped from player to player, leaving the Mets stunned and preventing any scoring threats.

The Mets attempted a comeback in the 8th, scoring four runs and taking the lead. Not to worry though; Nationals jumped right back into action in the bottom of the 9th!
Dylan Crews kicked things off with a crucial triple, and Jose Tena followed up with a game-tying single. 
But the hero of the hour has to be James Wood, who brought the game home with a brilliant single to center, sending CJ Abrams across the plate for the winning run. 
We fought hard, showed resilience, and most importantly, walked away with a win! Let's carry this energy forward, Nats!
