A Rocking Comeback!
What a fantastic Nationals win against the Mets!
We started off a bit dicey, with Francisco Lindor getting the Mets off to an early lead with a homer in the very first inning. Tough start for us, especially with back-to-back strikeouts from our offense. But no sweat!

The 5th inning was where the magic started. After Paul DeJong sacrificed Brady House in to chip at the lead, a clutch single from Riley Adams brought CJ Abrams and Jacob Young around to score. That momentum swing turned the game! Props to our pitchers too, keeping the Mets from adding to their tally, particularly outstanding relief work by Rutledge, Beeter, Poulin, Henry, and Ferrer.
The Nail in the Coffin
An electric 8th inning saw the Nationals seal the deal, starting with a smart single by Adams and a homer by James Wood!
That blast shot us well ahead, bringing Dylan Crews and House home and turning the game around to secure our 9-3 triumph. Ending the game with Juan Soto striking out for the Mets definitely sweetened the evening for us Nationals fans!Fantastic to see our Nats rally and give us plenty to cheer about!
