A Wild Start But Still the Braves Take the Lead

Braves fans, what a rollercoaster of a game! šŸŽ¢ It all started off slow in the first couple of innings, as both the Yankees and our Braves couldn’t get anyone across the plate. But in the bottom of the 3rd inning, the bats finally woke up when Michael Harris II absolutely crushed one to center field, going 438 feet to give the Braves a 1-0 lead and put some adrenaline into the game! āš¾ļøšŸ’„

The Explosion in the 4th and 5th

Things really heated up in the 4th inning. Ozzie Albies hit a massive homer to right, driving in Drake Baldwin and Sean Murphy, to bump the Braves up to a 4-0 lead! Nick Allen kept the momentum going with an infield single bringing home Nacho Alvarez Jr., pushing our edge to a hefty 5-0. And after a quick response in the top of the 5th where the Yankees grabbed two runs, Albies said, ā€œNot so fast!ā€ He brought Ronald AcuƱa Jr. and Sean Murphy home with a single to extend the lead to 7-2. Way to go, Ozzie! 🌟

A Tense Finish

The Yankees made a fierce comeback starting in the 6th with a series of plays culminating in Anthony Volpe’s homer in the 8th to tie the game at 8-8. It was nail-biting until the very end, but the 9th inning saw the Yankees pull ahead with a homer from Trent Grisham, securing their win at 12-9. 😩

Our Braves fought valiantly right to the end. Murphy again got on base with a walk, and Alvarez Jr. doubled, eventually allowing Murphy to score. But, alas, we couldn’t quite close the gap.

Heads up, Braves fans! We showed some major heart and power tonight, with big hits and great grit. Let's keep this spirit as the season moves forward. We'll get 'em next time! šŸ’Ŗ Braves Forever! āš¾ļøā¤ļø
