Frustrating Defeat for the Yankees Against the Orioles
The New York Yankees battled against the Baltimore Orioles but unfortunately fell short with a final score of 4-2 in favor of the O's. Both teams started strong defensively with a scoreless first inning. Paul Goldschmidt flied out while Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger struck out looking. Yet, we felt hope in the top of the 7th inning with a thrilling two-run homer from Jazz Chisholm Jr.

Bumps in the Road
Our pitching had its ups and downs. In the bottom of the 2nd, Ryan Mountcastle homered, giving the Orioles the lead. A few fielding errors in the 6th inning allowed Baltimore to add more runs and stretch their lead to 3-0. It was a tough day for Warren and Chisholm Jr. as miscues led to score escapes by the Orioles. Despite J. Doval stepping in, allowing only one more run in the bottom of the 7th to cap off the Orioles' lead, it was hard to recover that ground.A Battle Until the End
In the late innings, Ben Rice stepped up with a patient walk, and Judge added a single, but we couldn't capitalize on those opportunities. The bottom of the 9th saw a closing strikeout from Chisholm Jr., culminating our effort with discouragement. But as Bronx Bombers' fans, we know we'll rise up again!
