But the highlight was Matt Shaw exploding onto the scene with a three-run blast, sending the fans into a frenzy! The Cubs raced to a massive 7-1 lead, leaving the Yankees utterly stunned.
Not Letting Up
As impressive as the hitting was, it was our consistent pressure that drowned any Yankees comeback hopes. By the 6th inning, we had amassed an insurmountable lead. Michael Conforto kept his cool, driving in crucial runs with a triple and a double that pushed us ahead by 13. Despite the Yankees belting a few late homers, it was too little, too late.
