Rough Day for the Rockies
As a Rockies fan, last night's game against the Yankees was definitely a tough one to watch. We all know that baseball is full of ups and downs, and unfortunately, this game was one of those downs for our team with a final score of 13-1 in favor of the Yankees.
Brief Show of Promise
The highlight for the Rockies came in the 4th inning when Michael Toglia tripled to right, allowing Ezequiel Tovar to score from second. The top of the 5th inning was brutal, as the Yankees scored an overwhelming 10 runs. Our pitchers, including Kyle Freeland, Chivilli, and Rolison, struggled to find outs against a relentless Yankees lineup. Contributions came from across the board, highlighted by Wells, Peraza, Goldschmidt, and Grisham. It was a combination of hits, walks, errors, and wild pitches that led to the Yankees' scoring spree.
Looking Ahead
With performances like this, it can be easy to feel discouraged. But hope is never lost! Let's look forward to better days and continue to cheer on our beloved Rockies. Games like these are just part of the journey. On to the next one!
