Tigers Fall Short in Close Match Against Yankees
Hey, Tigers fans!

A Pitcher's Duel in the Early Innings
The game kicked off with pitchers on both sides dominant in the first three innings, with Flaherty striking out the likes of Ben Rice and the feared Aaron Judge. On our side, it was Riley Greene who managed to get a hit, but the Yankees’ defense held firm, keeping the game scoreless through the first third.
Yankees Break Through, but Tigers Respond Late
Ben Rice took center stage for the Yankees with a two-run homer in the 7th, followed by a clutch single from Aaron Judge bringing two more runs in the 9th, extending the Yankees' lead to 4-0. But our Tigers showed heart and clawed back in the bottom of the 9th. With Spencer Torkelson walking to start the inning, a pivotal wild pitch helped him home, and then a crucial hit by Zach McKinstry pulled us within a run, sending the crowd into a frenzy!
Close, But Not Close Enough
Despite a valiant effort in the 9th inning, we just couldn't complete the comeback. We saw some electric play from Torkelson and McKinstry, and Justyn-Henry Malloy put his energy into the game with an intense late-inning performance. The Yankees’ bullpen managed to seal the win with a final out by Malloy.
Keep your spirits up, Tigers fans! We've shown that even against tough opponents, our team can fight right until the last out. Let's hope for a roaring comeback in the next game!
