The game began as a classic pitchers' duel, with both teams struggling to put the ball in play during the first three innings. Ben Rice gave us some hope with two walks but unfortunately, we couldn't capitalize early on.
We stayed alert, and our defense held the Cardinals scoreless throughout the early innings, even after Lars Nootbaar and his attempts to ignite the Cardinals' offense. Breaking the Game Open

Giancarlo Stanton, our pinch-hitting powerhouse, smartly drew a walk paving the way for some more Yankee magic. And then, a fielding error by the Cardinals granted us two more runs—Anthony Volpe scored, followed by Aaron Judge. An insurance run by Jazz Chisholm Jr. and a double by Goldschmidt extended our lead to a commanding 8-4.
