Tough Day on the Diamond for the Twins
Today's game against the Athletics wasn't what we hoped for as Twins fans. The Athletics came ready to play and took an early lead that we struggled to recover from. It all started going downhill in the top of the 2nd inning when the Athletics capitalized with a string of hits and errors on our part, putting them ahead 6-0. Our pitching seemed to struggle, with Lawrence Butler and Carlos Cortes helping the Athletics pile on the runs against Ureña and later Tonkin.Twins Struggle to Find Momentum
️
Our bats seemed a bit quieter than usual. Byron Buxton, Trevor Larnach, and Brooks Lee all had tough at-bats early on as the Athletics' pitching kept us off balance. But our team didn't give up. In the bottom of the fourth, we managed to squeeze a couple of runs thanks to James Outman's and Austin Martin's infield singles which saw Luke Keaschall and Lee cross the plate. We were finally on the board, bringing the score to 6-2.A Late Game Effort
️
In the bottom of the 9th inning, Kody Clemens started us out with a single and Royce Lewis followed with a double, scoring Clemens to inch us closer at 8-3. Unfortunately, despite their late-game efforts, including another hit by Clemens, the magic wasn't enough today. The Athletics managed to keep us in check, securing their 8-3 win.Even though the final score wasn't in our favor this time, let's keep our chins up, Twins fans. Onward to the next game! Let's hope for some Minnesota magic next time.
