A Tough Battle in Seattle
Hey A's fans, it was a rollercoaster of a game in Seattle last night. While it didn’t end in our favor, there were some solid moments that gave us hope. The game ended with us trailing 2-4. But let's break down how it all went down.Soderstrom Shines Bright
Tyler Soderstrom was the shining star for the A's, smacking not one, but two home runs!
In the 5th inning, he sent a massive hit to center field, traveling 432 feet and putting us on the board first. He continued his power display in the 8th with another homer, this time 362 feet to right field, helping us regain the lead. Soderstrom definitely gave us something to cheer about and showed that he’s a force to be reckoned with! 
Tough Break in the 8th
Unfortunately, things took a turn in the bottom of the 8th. After Arozarena tied the game with a home run for the Mariners, Polanco crushed a two-run homer to take the lead. A quick change of pitchers didn't quite stem the momentum they had going. It was tough watching those hits get past us, but we’ll come back stronger next time.
Near Rally in the 9th
In a final attempt to turn things around, Lawrence Butler showed commendable patience at the plate, earning a walk to give us a base runner in the 9th. However, the rally didn’t materialize as Brent Rooker struck out and JJ Bleday grounded into a double play. It was a game of highs and lows, and although we didn't come out on top, there's always tomorrow, A's fans!
