Tough Outing for the Athletics
Hey Athletics fans, man, what a rollercoaster of a game!
Soderstrom and Langeliers Shine Early
The game kicked off with a blast from our very own Tyler Soderstrom, who hammered a solo shot to center to give us an early lead in the 2nd inning.

Blue Jays Rally and Errors Haunt Us
Unfortunately, the Blue Jays responded quickly and decisively. After taking a lead in the 2nd inning thanks to a bunch of walks and a sacrifice fly, they had a big 3rd inning where Ernie Clement and Myles Straw both had crucial hits. Our guys experienced some fielding woes as well, allowing Toronto to capitalize with some costly errors and extend their lead.
Late-Game Fight
In the 5th, Brent Rooker made things interesting with a double that brought in two runs thanks to an error on Toronto's part. That helped close the gap a little, but the Blue Jays fired back immediately. Addison Barger and Bo Bichette each contributed late-game RBIs, adding to their tally. Despite the odds, Denzel Clarke and Lawrence Butler made some noise in the 9th inning with back-to-back hits to cut the Blue Jays' lead a bit, but it wasn't quite enough.

Looking Forward
Even though we didn’t get the win, it was nice to see some fight from the A's late in the game. Soderstrom and Langeliers were absolute studs, and seeing Miguel Andujar get that 9th inning double was promising. Let's keep our heads up and hope for better results next time out! Go A's!
