The middle innings witnessed some stellar pitching performances from our guys. The Guardians couldn't figure out our pitches, swinging and missing left and right. The third, fourth, and fifth innings saw no change in score as both teams played exceptional defense. The eighth inning brought more fireworks from the bat of Kyle Schwarber. After Bryson Stott walked and then stole second, another monster home run by Schwarber (397 feet this time) gave us the much-needed cushion. His amazing bat skills brought the score to 3-0! Two homers in one game? Absolutely incredible!
Closing It Out
In the ninth, J.T. Realmuto walked, showing patience at the plate, but no more runs were added. As the Guardians came to their last set of at-bats, Jordan Romano sealed their fate by striking out the final two batters and ensuring a Phillies victory. The game ended with a significant win for us: 3-0. Another clean sheet and an amazing job from the pitchers!
