Tough Loss for the Phillies in Houston
Our Philadelphia Phillies faced the Houston Astros last night in what turned out to be a tough game for our bats
Tight Pitching Battle
In the first inning, we saw some action from Kyle Schwarber, who reached on an infield single to third, getting our hopes up. Sadly, Trea Turner popped out, Alec Bohm lined out, and Nick Castellanos struck out swinging, leaving Schwarber stranded.Houston, however, capitalized early. Jeremy Peña hit a ground-rule double, and then Isaac Paredes brought him home with an infield single. Our pitching kept us in it, though, with the Astros limited to just this one run until the eighth inning.
Missed Opportunities and a Late Homer
We saw some good hits from Bryson Stott and Otto Kemp in the 5th inning, but once again, we couldn't bring any runs across the plate. Brandon Marsh had a nice single in the 3rd; however, our batters just couldn't convert these openings into runs.In the bottom of the 8th, Victor Caratini squashed our hopes of a comeback

Looking Forward
The 9th inning sealed our fate as J.T. Realmuto, Stott, and Edmundo Sosa went down in order. While it wasn’t the outcome we wanted, we've got to regroup, dig deep, and come back stronger in the next game. Keep your heads up, Phillies fans! Let's get them next time!
