A Sluggish Start

What a thrilling game, Phillies fans! 🎉 After a slow start through the first five innings and seeing the Dodgers take a commanding 4-0 lead, it looked bleak for our Phillies. Our bats seemed to struggle early on, with Harrison Bader, Kyle Schwarber, and Bryce Harper unable to get anything going against a tough Dodgers pitching staff. But we knew the potential of this lineup, and boy, did they come alive later in the game!

Sixth-Inning Surge

The sixth inning was where the magic began! ✨ Rafael Marchán started with a single, followed by a Harrison Bader single. The crowd was on the edge of their seats when Bryce Harper hit a crucial double to right, allowing Marchán and Bader to score. Brandon Marsh then sent one soaring out of the park with a homer that brought in three runs and turned the game on its head, giving us a 5-4 lead. 🎇 Max Kepler kept the momentum with another homer, cementing the Phillies' lead with a 6-4 scoreline!

Nail-Biting Conclusion

In the bottom of the eighth, the Dodgers threatened a comeback with Shohei Ohtani blasting a solo shot and a sacrifice fly from Alex Call bringing the game to a nail-biting 6-6 tie. 😬 But then, in the top of the ninth, our Phillies delivered the final blow. With a crucial two-out situation, Rafael Marchán stepped up to the plate once again and launched a three-run homer, propelling us to a glorious 9-6 lead. The ninth inning held firm with Jhoan Duran ensuring the Dodgers couldn't muster any further offense. Victory sealed! 🙌

Fellow Phillies fans, what a comeback and a testament to the team's resilience and explosive offense! Let's carry this momentum forward! Go Phils! ⚾🏆
