Grit and Determination Pay Off!

What a game, Phillies fans! 🎉🎉 Our boys showed their resilience and grit in an exhilarating 11-9 victory over the Nationals in Washington. We started off with a bang, grabbing an early lead thanks to a fielding error by the Nats, allowing Trea Turner to score. Bryce Harper and Alec Bohm kept the momentum going, setting us up for what turned into a thrilling back-and-forth battle.

The Bohm and Castellanos Show

The top of the 2nd inning was a stunner as Alec Bohm hit a massive homer to left-center, driving in three runs. 🏏💥 You could hear the roar from Phillies fans all the way back in Philly! But let's not forget Nick Castellanos' ground rule double that paved the way for more runs. He followed it up later with a solo home run in the 6th, giving us a cushion just when we needed it.

Holding Strong Against a Late Nats Surge

The Nationals fought back fiercely in the 3rd inning, leveling the score at 6-6. But our guys didn’t back down. Weston Wilson stepped up in the 4th inning, pushing us ahead with a 2-run single—what a crucial moment! 💪 Bryce Harper kept the spirit alive, scoring Turner in the 8th, and Harrison Bader added another run with a sacrifice fly.

Dramatic Finale

Despite a late surge by the Nats, which saw Paul DeJong knock in a 3-run homer in the 9th, our bullpen held their nerve. Nick Duran's striking out of James Wood sealed the deal! 🎇 We can all breathe a sigh of relief and celebrate another win in the books! Go Phillies! 🥳

This game showcased the depth and fighting spirit of our lineup—each player's contribution was crucial for our victory tonight. Onto the next one, and as always, Let’s go Phillies! 🔔🔴
