Disappointment in Wrigleyville
Hey Pirates fans!
A Glance at Bright Spots
I have to give a shout-out to Andrew McCutchen for that electrifying home run in the first inning! That 372-foot blast to left-center was a spectacle and got our hopes soaring super high early in the game. Though the rest of our lineup had some trouble finding their rhythm, Nick Gonzales and Ke'Bryan Hayes did manage to pick up a couple of hits later in the game that kept the suspense alive. It's these glimmers of offensive potential that we live for as Pirates fans.Pitching Prowess Gone Unrewarded
Even though the end result wasn't in our favor, you can't deny that our pitching was on point for most of the game. Our pitchers kept the game tight, especially early on, with only Dansby Swanson's homer adding that second run for the Cubs. It’s tough to see a well-fought performance by our bullpen not yielding a win, but it’s part of the game.As much as the final score stings, it's always a pleasure watching our Bucs fight till the very last pitch. Let’s take the hits, the misses, and set our sights on the next victory.
