What an absolute thriller of a game we had at Citi Field against the Pittsburgh Pirates! Our Mets pulled off a phenomenal victory, edging out the Pirates with a final score of 4-3! Let's dive into the action-packed game!Early Challenges and Equilibrium
The game started off with our boys struggling to make an impact while the Pirates took an early lead, thanks to a homer by Kiner-Falefa. Our first innings were filled with potential, especially with Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto trying to get things moving. The turning point came in the 7th inning when Tyrone Taylor was hit by a pitch, and Luisangel Acuña reached base, allowing Taylor to score on a ground out by Juan Soto.
