Tough Loss for the Pirates

It was a tough night for our Buccos as they faced off against the Tampa Bay Rays and weren't able to get a run on the board, resulting in a difficult 0-7 loss. Let's break down the game.First Half Struggles
The game started with a quiet first inning for the Pirates, as Jack Suwinski struck out, followed by Bryan Reynolds flying out and Oneil Cruz striking out looking. In contrast, the Rays took advantage early in the first inning, scoring three runs highlighted by a strong double by Mangum, which was bolstered by a fielding error. Our pitching and defense struggled to contain the Rays early on, leading to an uphill battle.
No Offensive Momentum
Despite some singles in the early innings from Ke'Bryan Hayes, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, and Bryan Reynolds, the Pirates couldn't get a rally going. Pair that with crucial strikeouts and double plays in key moments, and it made for a frustrating offensive showing.
