A Tough Loss for the Pirates
Oh, Buccos fans, today's game was a rough one, wasn't it?
Early Lead for the Buccos
Our Pirates started on a promising note with Bryan Reynolds driving in Jared Triolo for the first run in the 3rd inning. A great inning followed in the 5th, as Spencer Horwitz homered to right field, bringing in Triolo for a two-run blast, marking a solid 3-0 lead for us. But things took a turn...Nationals' Rally and the Pirates' Resilience
The Nationals retaliated with Brady House sending a homer to center in the 6th inning. Then, the 7th inning saw Dylan Crews and Josh Bell make some critical plays, pushing the Nationals ahead to a 6-3 lead. The Pirates didn’t back down as Nick Gonzales, and Nick Yorke tried to rally us back, scoring in the 9th to put the pressure back on Washington. Unfortunately, Alexander Canario was thrown out at home following a wild pitch, and it was a valiant effort that just fell short.Looking Ahead
While it wasn’t the outcome we hoped for, our Buccos showed great tenacity and heart. We’ll take this as a lesson learned and come back stronger for the next game. Let’s keep showing our boys the support they deserve! Let’s go, Bucs!
