A Tough Loss for the Friars
Hey Padres fam!
Ramon Laureano Shines Early
We started strong with a little magic from Ramon Laureano, who smashed a solo homer to left field in the second inning to give us an early 1-0 lead. The ball traveled a solid 400 feet and had our spirits high!
Padres Fight Back, But Not Enough
In the 8th inning, we had another chance to catch up. Luis Arraez hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Jose Iglesias, cutting the Dodgers' lead to 3-2. We were rallying and hoped to see some more magic in the 9th! Jackson Merrill singled to keep us alive, but unfortunately, our attempts to pull ahead fell short, closing out the game at 3-2 in favor of the Dodgers.Looking Forward
Overall, it was a game of close calls and missed opportunities. Special shoutout to Ramon Laureano for his homer and Jackson Merrill for keeping us competitive throughout. We'll get 'em next time, Padres nation! Keep the faith and let's continue to support our boys as the season progresses. Until next time, Friars!
