Neither side could bring runs across the plate until the Padres finally eked out a lead with a solo homer from Jackson Merrill in the 4th inning. Meanwhile, Aaron Judge and company struggled to catch fire against the Padres' pitcher, but our guys kept their composure and bided their time.Yankees Balance the Scales
Our patience finally paid off in the 7th, when Cody Bellinger launched a powerful homer to right field, tying the game at 1-1 and reigniting our spirits!
Unfortunately, the Padres capitalized on a couple of opportunities in the 8th, pulling ahead 3-1. But the Yankees weren't ready to fold yet.Late-Game Heroics
