What a game, Yankees fans!
Pitching Duel and Slow Start
The early innings were a testament to both teams' pitchers bringing their A-game. Neither side could bring runs across the plate until the Padres finally eked out a lead with a solo homer from Jackson Merrill in the 4th inning. Meanwhile, Aaron Judge and company struggled to catch fire against the Padres' pitcher, but our guys kept their composure and bided their time.Yankees Balance the Scales
Our patience finally paid off in the 7th, when Cody Bellinger launched a powerful homer to right field, tying the game at 1-1 and reigniting our spirits!
Late-Game Heroics
The bottom of the 8th inning was where the magic happened. With Oswaldo Cabrera on base, pinch hitter Trent Grisham crushed a home run to deadlock the game at 3-3. The excitement in Yankee Stadium was palpable, and the atmosphere electric.
Extra Inning Glory
In the 10th inning, amidst escalating tensions, J.C. Escarra stepped up to the plate and executed a perfect sacrifice fly to seal the deal for the Yankees. Jasson Domínguez tagged up and dashed home, making the game-winning run and sending us all into a frenzy of jubilation!
