Tough Loss in Cincinnati

Hey Reds family! 📣 It was a rollercoaster game against the Giants at Great American Ball Park, and despite our early lead, the final score was not in our favor. The final tally showed Reds 4, Giants 6. As always, we saw some hustle and heart from our home boys, so let's break it down!

The Game's Highlights

Elly De La Cruz and Jeimer Candelario started us off strong! In the first inning, De La Cruz showed his discipline at the plate drawing a walk, and Candelario brought him home with a clutch single to right, giving us an early 1-0 lead. In the third inning, De La Cruz and Candelario worked their magic again with a pair of singles that helped stretch our lead to 3-0. 💪

Giants Claw Back

The fourth inning saw a change in momentum as Heliot Ramos hit a two-run homer, narrowing our lead to 3-2. Our pitchers kept the Giants at bay through the middle innings, but the ninth inning was where things took a turn. Patrick Bailey's single tied the game, and then Wilmer Flores hit a go-ahead, three-run homer to put the Giants ahead 6-3.

Fighting to the End

Our Reds didn’t give up, though! In the bottom of the ninth, Jacob Hurtubise entered and got a little lucky after being hit by a pitch. With his speed, he moved to second, and our man T.J. Friedl came through with a single up the middle to bring him home, giving us hope with a run that made it 6-4. Unfortunately, we couldn't complete the comeback. With such determination and fire, this team definitely has a bright future. 🌟

On to the next one, Reds fans! Let's keep supporting our boys, win or lose. Go Reds! 🎉
